Error Pages inc 404
To set up a "Page not Found" (404 error) on your website - by using the control panel in place of creating htaccess files
404 Page not Found
1. Select the Error Pages icon - this provides a list of domains under your account. Click the green upward arrow icon to add. Click the hammer to edit an existing redirect
2. You can then enter you domain name information and error processing of the specific file or folder from your web site.
The above example will forward all requests for a non present URL on your website to the index page.
You can do this, or create a page called (for example) 404.html - this page can tell people the page they tried to find no longer exists and offer alternative URLs to visit.
